We had to stop in the middle of the afternoon to write to you about what God has done today.  For the last few weeks Scott has been getting to know a Belizean man here in town.  The Lord brought Lloyd to our gate at a time when he thought he had reached the bottom.  Having lost his wife, his kids, his home and his job because of a drinking problem, Lloyd knew he needed something.  He knew his brother, who is a Christian, had something he wanted: real joy; joy in the midst of any circumstance.  Lloyd came asking questions and requesting prayer.  Today we prayed with Lloyd to receive Christ as his Lord and Savior!  We rejoice in the opportunity to see God at work and to be used by Him to lead another person to Christ!  We cannot explain the joy and excitement we have in seeing another brother come into the fold.

We want to thank you, our friends and supporters, for your commitment to seeing the gospel extended in Belize.  We know that God is using you to make it possible for us to be here.  He is doing a mighty work in us, giving us a heart for evangelism that we never had before.  Thank you for all your prayers, words of encouragement and financial support.  We knew you would be excited to hear about God’s work and that you would rejoice with us at the news of Lloyd’s new birth.  Please pray with us now that he would grow in Christ, find a good church home, resist temptation and that we would be able to minister to him in these first weeks and months as he learns what it means to trust in Christ for not only his initial salvation but for the process of sanctification that has begun.
