The Rich & Lori Wolfe Update
News for Friends, Family, and Partners
March 15, 2007
Dear friends, family and fellow-soldiers of Christ,
You have been praying for various teaching opportunities for Lori and me.
My trip to the church in Florida went well. While I was getting over a sinus infection, I felt strong during the services. I am always encouraged when I'm in a church that is committed and excited about world missions. I also met with the pastoral staff of a church in Tampa interested in Haiti.
Concerning our ministry in Haiti—please pray for me as I work with the missionaries to clean up the ministry budgets, job descriptions, expectations and working towards a greater synergy of MTW and OPC ministries there.
Lori's teaching on missions for the Perspectives course in Mississippi, Florida and the Air Force Academy was well received. She teaches on "The Task Remaining" which explores how the gospel is spreading and what still needs to be done.
Tuesday night we had some friends over for dinner. We have known Gary and Holly for many years. Gary was at the Air Force Academy when I was on staff at Village Seven (1988-91). We were his sponsor family. Between his 2nd and 3rd year at the academy Gary spent nine months in Ecuador with MTW. They have supported us from the beginning of our time with MTW and now they are heading for Turkey with Pioneers. The thing that impacted me the most Tuesday night was that Gary and Holly were influenced by Lori and me. They brought a friend Mike along. Mike is also considering missions, because of Gary and Holly. World missions is contagious! Get the bug!
Tomorrow I fly to Omaha to preach and teach for a mission conference in a PCA church. Pray that those involved will clearly communicate how the local church can faithfully obey the Great Commission and participate in world missions—locally and globally!
