The Rich & Lori Wolfe Update
News for Friends, Family, and Partners

Dear friends, family and fellow-soldiers of Christ,

Village Seven Presbyterian Church starts their mission conference tonight. The theme is “Missions on our knees.” Pray that many members and groups will be motivated to make praying one of their practices for fulfilling the Great Commission.

I am leaving Friday (2/23) for Florida to preach at another mission conference at Seven Rivers Presbyterian Church. I return on Tuesday after meeting with some churches in Tampa about the ministry in Haiti.

I am struggling with a sinus and ear infection, so pray for a quick recovery and that I can preach and teach effectively (4 times) during the conference. The focus of this mission conference is on Short-term missions. Pray that it will result in many from the church participating in a short-term trip who had never gone before.

After I return, I get the privilege to speak at Evangelical Christian Academy for chapel (2/28) on missions. Pray that I can creatively communicate the need for prayer and missions.

Lori is teaching a session (2 times) for the Perspectives class on military bases in Biloxi, MS and Pensacola, FL (3/5-8). Pray for her to communicate effectively and for her travel to go smoothly.

I preach at yet another mission conference (3/16-19) in Omaha, Nebraska—Grace Presbyterian Church. The theme for this conference is “God At Work: Over There, Down There and Right Here!”

My class at New Geneva Seminary went well. I enjoyed the time with the students who were friends of mine. It allowed for some discussions that hopefully were more directed towards their lives and ministry.

Basketball season is wrapping up Katelyn and Caleb. Katelyn’s district games start next week. Chris continues to remain strong even though both Lori and I have been down with various things.

Here is a challenging quote on prayer and missions.

“This is why God has ordained prayer to have such a crucial place in the mission of the church. The purpose of prayer is to make clear to all the participants in this war that the victory belongs to the Lord. Prayer is God’s appointed means of bringing grace to us and glory to himself." --John Piper
