The Rich & Lori Wolfe Update
News for Friends, Family, and Partners
April 11, 2007
Dear friends, family and fellow-soldiers of Christ,
Praying for the Word of God to go forth!
“Finally, brothers, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you.” 2 Thess. 3:1
Here is an excerpt from a letter I received from Joe and Bev Fitzpatrick in Puerto Rico.
Joe's had an exciting time teaching at a Pentacostal church weekly (sometimes twice!) They are loving it and it's very exciting. The one pastor said to him afterwards, "All my life I've studied the Bible and I never knew this!" re: Jesus in the O.T. Thanks for praying!!! Bev
This is not an unusual response. I am consistently hearing how many leaders and pastors from other theological groups are hungry for solid, biblical teaching of God’s Word. Rejoice with us!
Lori and Katelyn leave Friday for the school’s senior class trip. Pray for a meaningful time for the students.
Last Saturday I was given an opportunity to share about my ministry. It was encouraging. I am doing the same this Saturday for a supporting church in town (Forestgate Presbyterian Church). As I was thinking through these opportunities to share, I thought of these questions: “Why do missions in Central America and the Caribbean? Isn’t the church already there?
These questions quickly formed into my presentation, looking at the state of the family, health care, education, poverty and the church. The Gospel of Grace is the only thing that will impact these areas, transform lives, families and society. That is why we continue to do missions in the region!
Lori returns on Thursday and I leave on Sunday for the Bahamas to investigate a new ministry opportunity.
I return on the 26th and Lori teaches at a women’s retreat for Forestgate Presbyterian Church that same weekend.
Then I leave the next weekend to teach for a men’s retreat in Atlanta and then to spend the week in Atlanta with the Readiness Evaluation with MTW as an assessor (May 4-12). And believe it or not I leave the next Thursday for some meetings concerning the Haiti partnership in Greenville, NC (May 17-19). Then I’m home for more than a month.
· Pray for effective teaching for both Lori and me
· Pray for us to connect well when we are together
· Pray for wisdom in knowing what to do concerning the opportunity in the Bahamas
· Pray for clarity and focus for the ministry in Haiti
