Mike & Robin McMahan #014781
Mike and Robin grew up in Texas and met at Austin College. Both accepted Christ through the ministry of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. Shortly after Mike's graduation, they married and eventually moved to the Eastern Shore of Maryland, where they lived for 15 years. From 2001-2011, the McMahans served in Ecuador in both Guayaquil and Quito. Serving as part of a church-planting team they saw the need for ministering in both word and deed. They pursued training at the Chalmers Center for Economic Development and learned to promote small savings and credit groups among the poor in Guayaquil and Quito. In 2010 Robin completed a master's degree in international community economic development.
Mike and Robin have been invited to pioneer a church-planting work in Managua, Nicaragua, the capital of one of the poorest countries in Central America. They plan to partner with Reformed believers and work toward establishing a church-planting movement, while also serving the community by providing practical training on budgeting, developing business skills, etc. Mike has recently begun a master's in theology through the RTS virtual campus in order to continue preparing for this work. Please pray for the McMahans as they proclaim Christ in Nicaragua.
