The Love of a Father
Happy Father's Day! This
holiday for the House of Glory girls can produce all kinds of emotions. Some
never had a dad, and some wish they never had a dad for the way that they
were abused by him. Some were completely abandoned by their fathers. And
now these girls have another father figure that concerns them, the father
of their baby. This man can stir up all kinds of emotions, from fear, to
hatred, to sadness.
The
wonderful news for these young moms, however, and the wonderful news for
us is that we know a different kind of Father. This Father's name means
"love." This Father's affection for His children is never changing. This
Father's sacrifice of His own Son in order that He may adopt us as His children
is life-transforming and eternally secure. God, our Father, has redeemed
the lives of these girls and their babies. He has given something that they
have never experienced before- unconditional LOVE.
"How
great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called
children of God! And that is what we are!" I John 3:1

Pictured Above- VBS in a shanty town with a team from Chestnut Mountain, GA- Kayla and a couple of new friends Prayer Requests -The House of Glory celebrated its 2nd anniversary on June 1st. Praise the Lord for His provision. -Pray
for the training and business arm of the House of Glory called "Handmade
Mujer". Pray for God to raise up volunteers in the States who will help
this jewelry business grow. -Pray
for a couple of urgent staff needs that we have at the House of Glory. We
are looking for a housemom and a nurse. We are also praying that Raquel,
our social worker, would accept the position as Director of the House of
Glory in November of this year. - We have 5 teams coming about every other week this summer . Pray for the ministries that they will be apart of.
