Dear Praying Friends,
Wanted to give you an update as today [June 5] is a big day. First, a HUGE Praise! We received our Final license from Child and Family Services (MIMDES). We are official, legal to have a children's home here in Peru. This is truly a miracle as we have heard so many horror stories of the corruption and delays that can happen in this process. Only by God's grace and power do we have this license.
Second, we are receiving our first teen girl today. She is 14 years old, 6 months pregnant, and due in August. We have prayed for her for a long time, not knowing who she was or where she would come from, but in praying for the home to open. And she's coming today. Please pray for her transition in to the home, that she would know God's peace and unconditional love as soon as she crosses the threshold of the House of Glory. Pray also for the staff as we learn along the way and trust God's hand to guide us in caring for her. Please also pray for the process of receiving more girls over this next couple of weeks. We need incredible wisdom.
And lastly, Jeremy is having oral surgery today to remove a cyst. It is outpatient and he will be recovering at home over the weekend. Please pray that all goes well.
