Last Minute Prayer Request

Jeremy, Amanda, Kayla, Isabella, & Janna Hope Ross

December 1, 2009

This morning, our lawyer, Milagros and I are going to the Peruvian equivalent of Child and Family Services.  You might remember that back in April when we were trying to get licensed to open the House of Glory, we had some complications with the Municipality because the house is not in an area that is zoned for a children's home. It is only zoned for a daycare. At that time, all of you prayed that Child and Family Services would give us the license in spite of a different zoning. And praise the Lord they did give us a provisional license of one year to allow us time to appeal to the municipality to change the zoning.  Well, the municipality has now denied our appeal to change the zoning. So, we are headed back to Child and Family Services to ask for their mercy in order to give us another year so that we can appeal to the greater Lima court system.

If Child and Family Services say, "no", we will have to move out of the house in March 2010 when our rent contract is up.  We really love the house where we are in and especially the location, 2 blocks from the mission office and the church plant.   We have recently added a classroom to the house and done many other improvements on the house to make it comfortable for the moms and babies that are currently living there.

Please pray that we would be able to talk to the right people this morning, that we would be a shining witness of Christ's love in that office, and that if it is His will, we would be allowed to stay in the house another year. Please also pray that through this, God would be strengthening our faith in Him and our trust in His perfect plan and His perfect timing.

I'll let you know how it goes.

With Joy,
