Dear Supporters and Friends,

So sorry that it is the last day of May, and you are just now receiving an update from us. We have been having trouble with our group e-mail and have not been able to send anything out until now. You should be receiving a snail mail June Update in a couple of weeks and we will send it on e-mail also assuming it is still working then.

Please pray for us this weekend.

This Sunday, June 3rd is the very first Sunday morning worship service of the Salamanca Church Plant. Up until now, there have been evangelistic Bible studies and discipleship Bible studies (cell groups), and now the church is ready to begin. There are many new Christians and a real vibrance to this wonderful group of people. We are really excited about the service, and I (Amanda) will be doing the lesson for children's church in Spanish for the first time. Please pray for me. Please also pray that God would bring to the church those that He is calling to Himself. One wonderful praise is that God provided a location to meet for FREE, its a school with great facilities for us. Please pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit and for Mark Berry as he brings the message. Please pray for the details of the first worship service, the worship team, the ushers, etc. Pray that "His Kingdom would come" right here in Lima. Pray for wisdom and guidance for the leadership team of this church and that we would be grace-filled, mercy-driven, and Christ-centered in every aspect of our lives.

Also, this weekend is the Worldwide Weekend of Prayer for Children at Risk. Millions of Christians will be on their knees crying out to our Heavenly Father on behalf of the "least of these." Would you consider joining our brothers and sisters in Christ from around the world and praying specifically for the street children here in Lima and for us as we begin a ministry here?
