Friends and Family,

Thank you to so many of you who have sent e-mails and tried to call us. Our phone has been in and out and our power has been out until about an hour ago. As many of you know, there was an earthquake last night that hit about 100 miles south of us here in Lima. I was on my way out the door to a prayer meeting and am so thankful that I was with my family during the scary moments that followed. It felt like there were waves under the floor of our house. Jeremy, Kayla, Bella and I went under our stairs and sang "Jesus Loves Me" and prayed until it was over. We are all fine and our house and neighborhood is fine. I don't think Bella understood anything (she was asleep in her bed within half an hour of the tremor), and Kayla was wondering why we were hiding under the stairs and if the ground was going to shake again. School is canceled today, and we are enjoying some sunshine which is rare here during the winter months.

Mission to the World and our team are working together to figure out how we can respond to our brothers and sisters in Ica, Peru that fared much worse than we did. Please pray for the churches there and for us to have discernment as to how best to care for them.

We are praising the Lord today, the King over the land and the sea and over His children. He has preserved us. Thank you for your prayers for us and for praising the Lord with us for His protection.

With Joy from Peru,
Jeremy, Amanda, Kayla and Bella Ross
