Thank you for your prayers for us and our ministry.
Please pray for us this weekend. We will be participating in a
missions conference. The theme of the conference is on the nature of
a "missional church". I will be speaking on the following topics:
1. The Lord of Glory Captures our Passion
2. The Lord of Glory Surprises us with Joy
3. The Lord of Glory Leads us in Triumph (by way of the cross)
Phyllis and I will also be speaking to a SS group about "The Missional Family."
We look forward to it, and ask that you will pray that we will keep
our eyes on Jesus and so be able to serve well.
Also, I have about 12 hours left of recorded material to transcribe.
It takes about 10 hours to transcribe 1 hour of recorded material.
Thanks again for your support of us and the ministry the Lord has given us.

Soon after I sent out an email to you today, I received a call from
our son Seth with some good news. We had asked you to pray for
guidance as he was considering pursuing a PhD in physics when he
graduates from Covenant College in May. So now we're letting you know
about the answers to prayer.
He applied to about 6 different places, I think. Last week he heard
that he had been accepted at Ohio State. That wasn't his first
choice, but it was very encouraging to him. Today he heard that he is
accepted at Washington University in St. Louis. That school was on
his top-two list.
Oh my! It seems like just yesterday he was a little boy running
around and being busy with having fun. Now he is growing into a godly
young man, and we are very thankful. Please continue to pray for him
as he finishes his senior year and moves into a new stage in life.
