Date: May 27, 2005

Thank you for praying about the approval of my IRB forms. Last week I received notice that everything had been approved for me to proceed with data collection for my dissertation. I will be leaving for Mexico tomorrow. There I will be working with one of our MTW teams. I will be collecting data (observation, note taking, interviews, etc.), but in the context of getting involved in the ministry of this team. My hope is that what I find will be of help not only to that team, but to all of our missionaries.

I will also be teaching a class on the Doctrine of God to a group of about 10 people, and will be preaching on Sunday, June 5th. I will be returning on June 6th. This will be the first of four trips. The idea of doing it this way is to collect initial data, analyze it, then on the basis of what has been learned, make a second trip and collect more information.

Please pray for me as I make this trip. Pray for safety and that my visit will be beneficial for the team and for the progress of the kingdom.
