Date: April 7, 2005
Tomorrow (Friday) I will be leaving for Sparta, Illinois. I will be
attending a regular meeting of my presbytery, giving my annual
report, and preaching in our PCA church in Sparta--a church that has
supported us for many years. I will be returning home Sunday
afternoon.
Please pray about work agreements that the Latin American Resource
Team (of which I am director) is currently developing with several
MTW teams and/or Latin American churches. Most of these have to do
with training national leadership.
One of these is the place I'll be doing the research for my
dissertation. I am waiting on a letter from the local church and team
officially giving their permission for me to do my research in their
midst. Once I have this letter, I will send in all the required
documentation to the proper authorities at George Washington
University. Hopefully within two weeks from their reception of these
documents I will have the official permission from the University to
proceed with the research project. I will be making four visits
between May (I hope to being in May) and September. Then I will write
up the last two chapters of the dissertation (the first three are
completed). I hope to defend my dissertation about a year from now.
Then Phyllis and I (along with Audrey for as long as she is in High
School) will be heading back to Latin America.
Micah is graduating from Covenant College in a few weeks. Thanks for
your prayers for him.
Thanks again for your support of us and the ministry the Lord has given us.
