Prayer Update from Waldeckers
Thank you for praying about my trip to Cuzco. Phyllis was able to get
off work and accompany me. I'm always glad when she can go with me.
We make a good team. We arrived early Thursday morning after not
having slept for more than 24 hours. The flight to Lima arrives
around midnight, and then the flight to Cuzco leaves about 6:00 AM.
Between those times there was nothing to do but sit at the Lima
airport. The seminar/workshop was held on Friday and Saturday. We
conducted the seminar in Spanish because most of the participants
were leaders or leader candidates. Most of them were Quechua who
spoke Spanish. Some missionaries also participated. On Sunday
afternoon we left for Lima, and our flight from Lima to Atlanta left
about 1:00 AM on Monday. We were able to sleep some on the trip back,
but took about two days to recuperate from the trip. We felt well
received, and were glad to have had the opportunity to serve in this
way. Thank you again for your prayers.
At the end of April I will be making a trip to Chile and also to Colombia.
Please continue to pray for me as I finish this semester of studies
and prepare for comprehensive exams in April. I'm looking forward to
getting past this important event that seems like a looming mountain.
Pray that I'll keep my eyes on the Lord, as to not only finish well, but
also to enjoy the process. Right now it seems like a huge burden that is
keeping me from getting more involved in ministry. But I believe this
course of study is what I'm supposed to be doing now, so please pray
for strenght and wisdom.
Our support account could use some one-time gifts.
Thank you very much for your prayer and support.
