Prayer Update from Waldeckers

Thank you for praying about the oral exams. None of the five groups knows yet whether or not we passed, and I'm not sure when we will find out. In many ways this has been a very stressful time, and I feel drained; probably not the best time to take exams. But I have been reminded of the Lord's love and care, which has helped me keep on. The Lord has solved our deepest problem through his death and resurrection and has promised to give us everything we need for life and godliness. So there is great reason to be joyful and no reason to worry or be fearful. Every time I read the story of Jesus calming the waves I feel "blown away" by Jesus' words to the disciples. They were about to sink, but Jesus says, "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?"

The written exams are tomorrow morning and afternoon.

Prayer Update from Waldeckers

I found out Saturday that my group passed the oral comprehensive exams! Thanks so much for praying. This is a big relief.

On Saturday evening I began driving home and arrived early Sunday morning, after being away for 17 days. It's so nice to be home again. And it was great to worship with my family and friends. It was a great Easter Sunday.

On the 22nd of this month I leave for a week-long trip to South America.
