Thank you so much for your prayers for us and our ministry. We are currently on our way to Chile for a two-week visit. Among other things we will be selling our things that are stored there‹maybe bringing a few personal things back with us‹since we will be carrying out our ministry in Latin America from the US for the next four years.

By the time I finish my doctoral studies here in the States, our youngest will be a senior in high school. So for all practical purposes, this visit will be their "good-bye" to the country they have known as their home for all their lives. Please pray for us during this visit.

During this year we were living in a house on Lookout Mountain that was available for only a year. When we began renting last June we thought that would be fine, since at that time we were planning to return to Chile in June of 2002. Since our plans have changed, we had to look for a different place to live. We were having a hard time finding an adequate place to live, when we decided to pray about the possibility of purchasing a house. We have owned a house in Delaware all these years‹which we have rented out while in Chile. We found a house on Lookout Mountain that seemed to be just right for us, so we sold our house in Delaware and have recently moved into our new house.

Please pray for our leadership training program in Chile. Nine young men are being trained for the pastorate. In many cases the churches they are from are paying half of their scholarship, while the mission is paying the other half. The mission fund we established for this purpose, however, is running out. Please pray that the Lord will supply enough funding to keep this critical ministry in operation.

Please pray also for our support account. We have been amazed to see how the Lord has brought it from a negative 15,000 to a positive 5,000 in about six months. However, MTW requires all missionaries to maintain a minimum balance of 8,000 dollars in our support account. Furthermore, MTW will not reimburse certain benefits unless the money is available in our account. So please pray for this with us.
