The Waldecker Family Update
May 14, 2001

We are planning to leave for Home Ministry Assignment on June 12. We have postponed our departure several times because of my need to attend to situations in the ministry.

Tonight I will be flying to Lima, and will be returning on Friday. Please pray for that trip and that my visit will be productive. One of the purposes is to talk about a strategy to reach all of Peru with the gospel.

Please continue to pray for the situation of the checks that were stolen. All but 9 of the 28 checks have been used. The bank has rejected them, but someone could try to sue me. Everyone tells me I've done what is neccesary to protect myself, but if someone sues me I'll have to prove I'm in the right. This is especially concnerning since we will be in the States soon. I may have to leave a lawyer in charge of defending us.

Our training program in Chile is going very well. Please continue to pray for the pastoral candidates. Also, pray about scholarship money for next year. This year is covered. We are training candidates in three different churches.

The new church building of Cristo Rey is coming along now that some funds have been donated to help finish the first stage of the project. It is estimated that we will be able to use the building in August or September.

Thanks for your prayers.
