Greg & Marilyn Senter's Update
News for Friends, Family, and Partners
March 8, 2007
Dear Family and Friends,
Warm greetings to you all from Osorno. We wanted to report that we - four people, two dogs, eight pieces of slightly overweight baggage, and seven carry-ons made it back to Chile without an overcharge and without incident ...unless you count the pilot bag that Greg temporarily forgot in the Santiago airport. We saw it where it was left when we went back upstairs and, though relieved, thought nothing of it until passenger Gregory Senter was called over the intercom. Apparently "abandoned luggage" causes quite a stir these days of high security and by the time we went back to get the bag, it had already been examined by a bomb squad. Ooops!
PASSING THE TORCH
Providentially, we were able to hook up with Alex and Patty on the day of our arrival - the night before they left - to get a quick update on the last three months. Wow! God is doing amazing things here and there are a couple of sticky situations to deal with as well. This is such an opportunity to trust God to continue working in their absence. What is happening here is so much bigger than us and it feels like a wild ride. We so thank you for all your prayers for Alex and Patty and for us especially during this month.
OPPORTUNITIES
Please pray for us as Greg fills in for Alex in his preaching responsibilities and leadership of several mid-week discipleship Bible studies. I plan to meet with some key women in our church this month to pray and prepare for the re-launching of our women's Bible study in April. Our women's group needs a different focus. All of our fellowship needs to be centered around and grounded in the Word of God. Pray that God would give us all a fire and a passion for knowing God and making him known.
As always, we appreciate your partnership with us in the Gospel.
Much love in Jesus,
Marilyn for the Senters
