Frank and Suzanne both grew up in Christian homes and came to know Christ as their Savior at an early age. God developed a passion in Frank's life for the inner city and in Suzanne's heart for the people of South America. These two visions were brought together as they met at Erskine College and were married in 1996. God increased these passions as they worked in the inner city of St. Louis with New City Fellowship (PCA) and attended Covenant Seminary.
The Matthews have been called to be a part of an American-Peruvian church planting team in Lima, Peru. These churches will incorporate God's love through the teaching and preaching of his word and living out the gospel in mercy ministries to the poor. Their work will focus on spreading the gospel to the 250,000 street children and meeting needs within the church plants.
The Lord Almighty says, "Administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another. Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the alien or the poor". Zechariah 7:9-10a

| November 2002 - Mattthews On The Move
Hello to Everyone,
We are excited to tell you we are moving to Costa Rica for language
school on the 14th of this month. All our month has been pledged and we
have our tickets to fly out. We have packed up the house we were renting
in Easley, SC and are currently spending our last days seeing our
families before we head out. We thank you so much for your prayers, love
and support. We look forward to staying in touch with you all. I have
attached a document that will allow you to have some general information
about us in Costa Rica and we will be in touch soon.
