ONLY 85 DAYS LEFT!!! No, this is not shopping days until Christmas. This is how many days we have until we hope to be living in Costa Rica and learning Spanish in preparation to go to Peru! November 11th is our target date to be there. As you all know from our last newsletter, we still have to raise 18 percent of our support.

God has been very gracious in getting us this far, and we are excited to have so many of you already supporting us faithfully! We would like to ask you to pray for the rest of our support to come in so we can go to language school in November. If any of you have been thinking about supporting us and have postponed it until the end, NOW would be a great time to send in your pledge.

Some people have asked us various questions about our support and our time Peru. To help make things more clear, we have attached a sheet that 1) shows the partners we are praying for and 2) it gives some more facts about us going to Peru, the support we need and how to support us. We hope this helps explains things, but if you have any other questions we would love to answer them.

Facts about Supporting the Matthews

WHO: Frank, Suzanne, Joshua, & Micah Matthews

WHAT:
  *   The Matthews family is committed to serving in Lima, Peru. We are now raising support in order to work there.
  *   We MUST have 100% support pledged before we can go to Costa Rica.

WHEN:
  *   We plan to attend language school in Costa Rica for one year.
  *   We plan to leave for Costa Rica in November 2002.
  *   After language school, we will then move to Lima, Peru for two four year terms. We will come back to the states 2 times for several months to connect with supporters and family during this 8 year period.
