Don & Sue Gahagen's Update
News for Friends, Family, and Partners
Letter from Bill Yarbrough
International Director/Latin America

February 2007

Dear “Extended Team” of Don and Sue Gahagen,

Greetings in the wonderful name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus.

We greatly appreciate the way the Lord has used Don and Sue in their 45 years of ministry in the hinterlands of Peru and throughout Latin America. Together with them, we look towards the future as they seek God’s will for their lives and ministry. Your prayers are a huge part of that and, from the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for continuing to uphold Don and Sue in prayer and, by extension, the work of MTW throughout the region.

The Gahagens’ official date of retirement will be March 31, 2007; however, it is their desire—which we share—that they continue to serve throughout the region for as long as God enables them to do so. Knowing Don and Sue as you do, I’m sure you are not surprised. Therefore, even though they will not be supported missionaries, they will stay on as partners in ministry with Mission to the World. Would you be willing to continue supporting their work? Even though Don and Sue will no longer draw a salary from Mission to the World, funds will still be needed for all the expenses associated with their ministry, particularly costs related to travel. Needless to say, they bring godly wisdom and much knowledge and experience to their work. In recent years, they have been particularly valuable in mentoring and encouraging younger missionaries and national leaders, as well as working on special projects in Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, and other sites as the Lord opens doors.

On behalf of the whole MTW team, we are grateful for your past investment in the kingdom through Don and Sue. If you are interested in continuing to support this valuable ministry, you may send your gifts to MTW and designate them to the Gahagen account #12733.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call me (404.326.1917) or write (bill.yarbrough@mtw.org ).

Gratefully in the gospel of grace,

Bill Yarbrough
