Halbert, Andrew

Andrew Halbert is a two-year missionary is who will be serving with the New City Lima Team in Lima, Peru. He was raised in Honduras, Central America as a missionary kid and at the age of 15 his family moved to Knoxville, TN where he finished high school and college.

It was during high school that Andrew first felt that the Lord was calling him to missions. He was on a short-term construction team in Jamaica with his youth group. Upon returning home, Andrew and his parents decided that it would be best for him to wait until he finished college. During college, on another short-term trip, Andrew felt that the Lord was confirming his call to missions.

During his last year of college, Andrew began to look into opportunities to serve with Mission to the World. He was accepted as part of the New City Lima Team and shortly thereafter graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He will be working with the team as they seek to plant reformed churches in Lima.
