Armando Becerra’s missionary voyage began when God our Lord came into his heart and transformed not only his heart but also his whole life. On Armando’s first mission journey to Amauta and Huaycan, Peru set the mark to his present-day status. These two cities are on the outskirts of Lima, the capital of Peru. The experiences that took place on this mission journey, children running around in slums, living in shacks, children not being cared for, were all factors of life that God used to guide and influence him to missions in the developing world.
Raised in a non-Christian home with his four sisters, Armando was the first one in his family to receive our Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. Living in McAllen, Texas Armando’s transformation began. His parents decided to move to Flowery Branch, Georgia where Armando saw the true meaning of Love. Armando started attending Chestnut Mountain Presbyterian Church in 2004 and shortly later that year he came to know the Lord Jesus Christ. With the Lord working through Armando, his family also came to the Lord!
CMPC has a heart full of passion for missions and a huge love for people all around the world. This love was transferred to Armando. The Lord has used this amazing church in Armando’s life and has given him a passionate love for missions!
